About Us

The supreme reality of our time is…the vulnerability of our planet.

John F. Kennedy

Established in 2011 as Hancock Natural Resource Group’s newest initiative, the Hancock Renewable Energy Group (“HREG”) has a long-term mission to be a leading investor and asset manager in renewable energy infrastructure.

HREG is currently focused on investments in the waste and bio-energy sectors. Investment opportunities include conversion facilities that utilize biomass from forest and agricultural lands and other waste streams. HREG provides institutional investors with the opportunity to invest in carbon offset and low carbon impact projects which seek to generate attractive risk adjusted returns.
